Hi,

This is my first post here!

I have experienced some difficulty installing the software to my HostGator hosting plan, due to compatibility issues, however I finally have managed to get things working following the posts here:

http://forums.phpcoin.com/index.php?showtopic=3316

Anyway, in doing so I was unable to complete the install from my secure https site path, so had to do this from http site instead. I'm concerned that MySQL password could be compromised here as a result?

Is it possible to change the password after install?

Yes you can change the MySQL password

First change it for the user that is assigned to the phpCOIN database (using your phpMyAdmin tools, or whatever your web host provides you with)

Secondly change it in the ~/config.php file in the $_DBCFG['dbpass'] array in the section:
CODE

# Database Configuration Array
$_DBCFG['dbms']     = "mysql";    // Database System (type)
$_DBCFG['dbhost']     = "localhost";    // Database Host
$_DBCFG['dbuname']     = "username";    // User
$_DBCFG['dbpass']     = "password";    // Password
$_DBCFG['dbname']     = "database";    // Database Name
$_DBCFG['table_prefix']    = "phpcoin_";    // Database table prefix

====================================================================
--- The latest unmodified version of phpCOIN available from the phpCOIN download page on the date and time of this post.
--- All relevant HotFix files applied - One of the four included unmodified themes - The original language files .
--- Help will be given to install/configure/use phpCOIN, but not programming help to modify phpCOIN operations. If you are competent enough to make programming changes, you should be competent enough to read the source code and figure things out :)
